Every grain of noise in an image is intentional.

02 — Philosophy

Grain is not a mistake, but a decision. I am drawn to images that carry weight, where imperfection is part of the truth. Something raw over something polished. That is what I am always reaching for.

In an era where images are generated by the millions, conjured, frictionless, authorless, choosing grain is a refusal. It is insisting that a photograph carries the weight of the person behind it. That every image has a cost: a presence, a choice, a point of view that belongs to someone.

The imperfections are not accidents to be smoothed. They are proof of human contact.
